Reenactors Directory

Over the years we have received many requests from schools, media companies and historic venues for details of re-enactors, in order to help to bring alive the various period events that they wished to stage. In addition, many individuals have contacted us looking for similar information concerning societies and associations in which they can join, to share in the fun, interest and passion of a specific historic era.

In response to this demand, we have created a directory of UK-based living history societies and associations, complete with web links and contact details as appropriate. Each groups availability for public and school displays as well as film work is also indicated.

The Kindred

Corby, Northamptonshire

We are an Early Medieval North European re-enactment group looking to provide high quality living history and combat displays, striving for authenticity in all we do. We perform exhibits at public events, museums and schools, providing an entertaining and educational experience to attendees.

Pearl in the Egg Historical Musicians

Norfolk (but love to travel!)

We are Pearl in the Egg Historical Musicians, a duo specialising in accurate re enactments of medieval music. We play in authentic historical costume on copies of medieval instruments including harp, lyre, rebec, recorders, shawms, bagpipes and crumhorns. We also sing in Old English, German and French.

Black Wolves Viking Group Reenactment

Blackpool, Lancashire

We are a Viking reenactment group going from the early vendel period going through to 1066 the end of the Vikings. We aim for accuracy and to be 💯 professional we have our licenses and insurance full cover.

Brederedh Cornovii is a combat re-enactment group portraying 10th to mid-11th-century mercenaries from Anglo-Saxon, Viking, Russ and Slavic backgrounds.

The 1879 Group

Nationwide

Emphasis on the 1879 Zulu War, representing the 24th Regiment of Foot. We are the resident re-enactors at the Regimental Museum at Brecon. In addition to participating in Living History events of this period we also support the Museum at Brecon.

A UK based Napoleonic Reenactment group based primarily in England. We attend events all across the UK with annual trips to events in Europe. We portray the lives of soldiers and ladies within the regiment in the period 1809-15.
