Battle of Evesham

Time Period: Middle Ages

Performer / Organiser: Various

1st & 2nd August 2026 at Crown Meadow, Evesham

Welcome to the Battle of Evesham Medieval Festival – Europe’s largest 13th century battle reenactment.

The free to attend event takes place in the Heart of Evesham, featuring a medieval festival and camp with life-demonstrations of cookery, weapons and medicine, plus the main battle re-enactment.

Step back in time with us to the 13th Century when the Battle of Evesham is brought to life. Fought on 4th August 1265 between Prince Edward and Simon de Montfort, it was political, personal and bloody!

Join us as hundreds of re-enactors fighting ‘to the death’ on Saturday and Sunday. Don’t miss the Battle of Evesham Grand Parade, with mounted knights in full armour riding through the town on Saturday.

Via the entrance on Evesham’s Crown Meadow, visitors can watch medieval musicians and dancing at the camp, along with craftsmen demonstrations and medieval cookery. There will also be falconry and equestrian displays, children’s activities, stalls and food outlets and a licenced bar.
