5th and 6th December 2026 at Fishbourne Roman Palace, Roman Way, Fishbourne, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 3QR
Raven-Tor living history group will be showcasing Christmas and mid-winter celebrations and traditions from across the ages. From the Stone Age to the Iron Age Winter Solstice, through the Roman Saturnalia, and into the Saxon Yule, explore how different peoples marked the darkest days of winter. Wander further through the centuries to experience the spirit of a Medieval Christmas, a refined Georgian celebration, the warmth of a Victorian Christmas, and the resilience of a World War Two wartime Christmas.
There will also be fun activities for children, as well as stalls from local artisans, artists and community groups, offering unique gifts, handmade crafts and seasonal treats. Music from local bands and choirs.
