Country House Hotels in Cambridge

Just 50 miles north of London, Cambridge is perhaps most famous as home to the fourth oldest university in the world. In its current guise Cambridge University comprises 31 colleges, with the earliest, Peterhouse, founded in 1284. It is a direct consequence of its historical roots however, that the medieval buildings of Cambridge are best explored either by foot, from the seat of a bicycle, or from a boat on the river, rather than by car.
