Cottages by the Sea in Dorset and Somerset
Boasting World Heritage Site status, Dorset’s dramatic Jurassic Coast includes famous landmarks such as Lulworth Cove, the Isle of Portland, Chesil Beach and Durdle Door and the ever popular resort of Bournemouth. If you don’t fancy dipping your toes in the channel, take time out to see one of the many museums, stately homes and castles throughout the county or check out one of Dorset’s many wonderful festivals, including the Dorset County Show and the Great Dorset Steam Fair.
Alternatively, head to Dorset’s west country neighbour Somerset. Perhaps most famous for its yearly Glastonbury Festival, Somerset also boasts a charming coastline on the Bristol Channel and encompasses much of the Exmoor National Park. Explore local attractions such as Wookey Hole Caves, Hestercombe Gardens and Dunster Castle or sit back and take in the stunning scenery with some delicious local scrumpy, a regional delicacy!
