Take a walk in the footsteps of the region's most famous sons, Rob Roy and William Wallace, amongst the monuments and battlefields around Stirling and Callander. The Southern Highlands is also a mecca for golfing enthusiasts; St Andrew's alone boasts two fantastic championship courses. And be sure to visit the string of famous castles and gardens, such as Glamis and Falkland Palace.
