The festival will host talks and discussions by eminent historians and well-known personalities as well as living history, music and dance. The festival weekend will feature the recreation of a World War II trench set in late June 1944 after the Normandy landings, as well as a giant scale replica of the Hawker Typhoon aircraft, FOUR times the size of the original! There will be an exciting new programme of living history events, highlighting the age of the Anglo Saxons and Vikings, right the way through to the Second World War. Brand new themes for 2019 include Exploration, the Historic Home, as well as Wartime Farming and D-Day.
