Meet soldiers from the Royalist forces of the Marquis of Montrose and the Covenanter forces of Lord Burleigh. Explore this turbulent period of Aberdeen’s history and learn about the Battle of Aberdeen in 1644.

The Sealed Knot is the oldest re-enactment society in the UK. Members of their ‘Scots Brigade’ bring history alive in the Painted Gallery at Provost Skene’s House this September as we mark 380 years since the Battle of Aberdeen.
