Blackthorn Farm is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and most rooms have fantastic views. We are minutes from the ferry terminal in Holyhead for sailings to Ireland. Each room is individually styled and finished to a high standard. We are a family business, chef Nigel creates a fabulous breakfast using mainly locally produced ingredients including the local butchers award winning sausages! Plenty of parking available.

The Lion Inn, GWYTHERIN, near BETWS-Y-COED

The Lion Inn is set in the picturesque village of Gwytherin through which the River Cledwen flows. It is a quiet place, off the beaten track and a peaceful and pleasant environment for those looking for somewhere relaxing away from the pressures of today's hectic lifestyle. Originally a row of small cottages dating back to the 17th Century, this cosy village watering hole re-opened its doors for locals and visitors alike on 18th June 2005 after extensive refurbishment.

 

Meadowsweet Hotel, LLANWRST, near BETWS-Y-COED

Tucked away from the madding crowd, the Meadowsweet Hotel is set in the picturesque village of Llanrwst. Here you will feel one of a kind, rather than one of the crowd. Most of our rooms have just undergone extensive refurbishment and are en-suite. The Hotel offers free Wi-Fi Internet access in all bedrooms. Our Restaurant & Bar 'LLE HARI' has also just undergone an extensive refurbishment, with excellent reviews. Llanrwst is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park with countless lakes and endless walks. Well behaved dogs are welcome for an additional charge of £10 per stay.

Park Hill Gwesty Bryn Parc, BETWS Y COED

OUR HOME IS YOUR CASTLE is Jaap and Ghislaine's motto. Their guest house Park Hill/Gwesty Bryn Parc is located in a 1869 built Victorian private house traditionally built of local stone and slate. The house's nine double/twin rooms are equipped with all modern facilities, recently refurbished and are all en-suite. Park Hill is licensed and a cosy bar enables you to get your breath back after climbing Snowdon or just to relax further after an unwinding day. Incorporated in Park Hill is an INDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL 30’ x 12’ x 4’6” deep, with a Jacuzzi Type Spa and a Sauna. It is open exclusively to our resident guests.

  

Coed Cae, DOLGELLAU

Coed Cae is a traditional stone cottage set within the southern reaches of the Snowdonia National Park. Situated in its own wooded garden on the Mawddach estuary with spectacular views. The house is only a ten minute walk to the George III pub at Penmaenpool and a short drive to the nearby pretty town of Dolgellau. We can provide you with packed-lunches and evening meals in addition to Bed and Breakfast.

Ffarm Country House, ABERGELE, CONWY

A beautiful Grade II listed building dating back to 1706 set in two acres. Our seven bedrooms have been designed and furnished to a very high standard. We have one ground floor room offering easy access. All rooms have en-suite facilities and lots of fluffy towels. An ideal venue for: weddings and civil ceremonies, house parties, business meetings and exclusive use available. We are fully licensed.

   

Plas Dinas Country House, BONTNEWYDD, CAERNARFON

Just a couple of miles from Caernarfon, with its world famous castle, this hotel is steeped in royal history. The family seat of The Armstrong-Jones family, Lord Snowdon and Princess Margaret were frequent visitors here. The hotel retains much of the original furniture and memorabilia. Fantastic food and wine - superb sea and mountain views. Evening meals are available to residents and their guests. Pre-booking is required if you would like a meal on the first night of your stay.

 

Rathlin Country House, COLWYN BAY

Rathlin is one of the most prestigious houses in Colwyn Bay and is situated in the beautiful Pwllycrochan Woods conservation area, yet still close to the town. Rathlin offers three exceptional bedrooms for the more discerning traveller. The property is built within mature gardens, extending to almost one acre and offers an outdoor heated swimming pool available for guests during the summer months. There is also a sauna room. A high class continental or traditional Welsh cooked breakfast is served in the impressive dining room, which still has most of the original features including inglenook fireplace, oak panelling and oak parquet flooring.

 

Castlebank Hotel, CONWY

Castlebank Hotel is an imposing Grade II listed Victorian townhouse hotel, set in it's own grounds by the walls of Conwy's historic medieval castle. There are nine individually furnished en-suite rooms, residents lounge, licensed bar with log fire in the winter, restaurant, and private parking. The terraced gardens and front rooms enjoy splendid views of the castle and estuary.

 

Bedknobs Victorian Guest House   LLANDUDNO

Bedknobs is a small select Guest House in the Craig-y-Don area of Llandudno, just a short walk from the promenade, North Wales Theatre and Conference Centre. Formerly an elegant Victorian residence, Bedknobs has been refurbished sympathetically to maintain its period charm. Genuine antique king-size brass beds and many original Victorian features, including beautiful stained glass windows, create an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and tranquillity.

Glyn Isa Country House Bed and Breakfast    ROWEN, CONWY (near LLANDUDNO)

Glyn Isa is a 17th Century Country House dating back as far as 1626, set in 10 acres of mature gardens and land set against a backdrop of mountains with beautiful views over the Conwy valley. We have 4 poster beds, original fireplaces, and antiques. This is a very tranquil spot next to a fishing lake and on the on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Conwy and Llandudno are both less than 10 minutes drive away. All rooms in the main house have full en-suite bathrooms and look out over our lovely gardens.

 

Tyr Y Coed Country House    ROWEN, CONWY (near LLANDUDNO)

Tir y Coed is situated four miles from the mediaeval walled town of Conwy. The house, built in 1896, is bright and sunny with large windows overlooking the gardens. We use the freshest local produce to create menus which change daily... homemade soups and pates, delicious racks of Welsh lamb, the finest Welsh Black beef, locally caught Conwy plaice... and of course mouth-watering desserts. Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable as possible... white linen, duck down duvets and plump feather pillows all add to a peaceful and relaxing nights sleep. Most bedrooms have views over the gardens and vary in size and style as would be expected in a period house. Each room has either an en-suite bathroom or shower room.

NORTH WALES - INLAND 

Hafod Elwy Hall, BYLCHAU

Hafod Elwy Hall offers well-appointed bedrooms of individual design and character. Your choice includes a substantial, comfortably furnished suite or four-poster bedroom with sumptuous Edwardian bathroom (and a working 'thunderbox' for the braver souls!) Each room enjoys stunning views over the surrounding area. Breakfast is served in the dining room which occupies the oldest part of the house. Guests can relax in the gun room, drawing room or enjoy the views from the sun room.

 

Bron-Y-Graig, CORWEN

Built in 1888 as the family home of the Sheriff of Denbigh, this fascinating courtyard house nestles in the wooded slopes of the Berwyns on the edge of Corwen between Betws-y-Coed, Llangollen, and Bala. After years of careful renovation, Bron-y-Graig opened in 1999 to offer bed and breakfast, and a licensed a la carte restaurant for Dinner service. The 19th century splendour of our William Morris décor is complemented by 21st century services and 100% attention to our guests' comfort.

 

Stokyn Hall Country House, HOLYWELL

Llinos and James are delighted to welcome you to Stokyn Hall Country House Bed and Breakfast. The house has been in Llinos's family for nearly a hundred years and has been recently renovated and tastefully redecorated. Bodidris Hall, LLANDEGLA, LLANGOLLEN

The Historic Bodidris Hall is over 650 years old (built in 1465). Enjoy a drink whilst perusing the menu in the beautiful lounge area. Amongst its features are original oak beams, stone mullion windows, a huge fireplace and comfortable armchairs. The ambience of the Baronial Restaurant is very special and the food is simply outstanding. Many diners are regular visitors, which is a testament to the extraordinary food and excellent service.

 

West Arms Hotel, LLANARMON DC, Near LLANGOLLEN

A 16th century hotel situated in the beautiful Ceiriog valley with wealth of charm and character. The visitor is immediately aware of the warmth and the character of by-gone years that pervade: slate-flagged floors, vast inglenooks and timberwork abound, all set off by period furnishings. We are justly proud of our delightful restaurant.....

 

Pentre Mawr House, LLANDYRNOG, DENBIGH

Pentre Mawr, a 4 star Country House set in 200 hundred acres in the Vale of Clwyd an area of outstanding natural beauty. Newly refurbished with 20th century facilities but 16th century elegance. There is a heated pool in the wall garden. Breakfast is served in the morning room or on the Georgian terrace on warmer mornings. Dinner will be served in the formal dining room but with none of the stuffiness. There are two lovely sitting rooms.  The hidden walled garden is a lovely place to sit and read or just relax and smell the roses.

 

Gwydir Castle  LLANWRST

Gwydir Castle is situated in the beautiful Conwy Valley and is set within a Grade 1 listed, 10-acre garden. Built by the illustrious Wynn family c1500, Gwydir is a fine example of a Tudor courtyard house, incorporating re-used medieval material from the dissolved Abbey of Maenan. Gwydir offers Bed and Breakfast accommodation in two bedrooms, the 'King's Room' and the 'Duke of Beaufort's Chamber'.

 

Hafan Deg, MAESHAFN, MOLD

This 4* B&B is on the edge of a small friendly village, deep in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by woodland, yet only 3 miles from the market town of Mold. In November 2005, Fusions Brasserie was awarded a rosette and the Wynnstay Arms was awarded 4 Diamonds for the quality of the accommodation.
