The Wilderness, a very large holiday cottage on bright sunny day!

Large luxury Holiday Cottages with swimming pool, set in the heart of Wiltshire, yet just 30 minutes from Bath.

Ashe Cottage and The Annexe are just yards across the lawn from each other, and sleeping 15 in total make the perfect combination for large/hen parties. The dining room in Ashe Cottage seats 15. There's ample parking, a heated outdoor swimming pool in summer and log fires in winter. Large private gardens. Farm shop nearby. Great village pub with food. Catering, beauty therapy, outdoor pursuits etc.

Nestling in the rural hamlet of Heywood, Ashe Cottage is a lovely old rambling cottage with exposed beams and low ceilings. It sleeps 8 adults in 4 bedrooms plus one small child's single. The annexe just across the lawn has 3 bedrooms bathroom, loo and a beautiful rustic living/dining/kitchen area with oak beams and floor. The Annexe is all on the ground floor. With the large dining room seating 15 Ashe Cottage is the perfect venue for large groups and multi-family holidays!

The Wilderness. A Magnificent 17th Century self catering Holiday Cottage. Sleeps 16+2 in 8 bedrooms. The Wilderness is ideal for large parties, family groups and hen parties! (sorry, no stags). Original oak beams, Inglenook log fireplace. TV Lounge with VHS/DVD & CD . Kids TV/playroom with VHS/DVD. Luxury Oak kitchen with range cooker. Laundry room. Farm shop nearby. Great village pub with food.

   

Set in large private gardens "The Wilderness" dates from 1640 and was originally a pair of farm cottages believed to belong to the estate of Heywood House nearby. The house features original oak beams and the ceilings are low in many places but this all just adds to the charm ! The original cottages have been carefully extended over the years to provide very spacious and varied accommodation. There are 2 double bedrooms, 6 twins (some convert to doubles) and a large family room with 2 single beds with guest beds under. There is ample private parking at the front of the house.

The Swimming Pool is 10m by 4m and only 1.1m deep at the shallow end so is ideal for kids (children must be supervised at all times). Heated in summer to around 27C. Open June, July and August, September depending on weather! No lifeguard on duty.

Location Heywood Holiday Cottages are ideally situated for visiting The Roman City of Bath, the ancient Saxon Town of Bradford-on-Avon, and all the historic attractions of South West England! The magnificent Longleat House and safari park are just 10 minutes away. We are just 40 minutes from Stonehenge and Salisbury and 30 minutes from Bath by road. Westbury Railway Station is 1 mile away with regular direct trains to Bath (20 minutes) and London (90 minutes). The local Pub with it's fine real ales and superb food is just a short walk across the fields. There are many excellent golf courses in the area and daily or weekly golf tours can be arranged.
