Somerset

BOOK THIS HOTEL ON-LINE

The Hollies is located in the delightful countryside of South Somerset in the heart of the English cider making capital. The hotel is situated in the picturesque village of Bower Hinton, Martock and just half a mile from the A303 gateway to the West Country.

The hotel is set in 3 and a half acres of landscaped gardens and has now completed a £500,000 upgrade programme.

THE RESTAURANT

Our Restaurant occupies a major part of the original principle house built in the 17th century. The 60 cover oak-beamed restaurant, lit by candle light in the evenings, retains many of its original features.

Where possible, locally produced foods are used in all of our dishes. Diners can choose from a varied range of English and French cuisine, which is complemented by a wine list of fifty carefully selected wines.

THE BAR

Boasting one of the largest walk-in fireplaces and open bread ovens, the bar has been carefully modernised to retain the traditional ‘Old Inn’ atmosphere.

With its original oak beams, imposing fireplace and natural slate and wood floor, the bar offers a comfortable setting for a quiet drink and a wide range of fireside meals. Beer garden and extensive landscaped grounds are open all to guests.
