Peeblesshire, Roxburghshire, Scottish Borders

This area of Scotland has many associations with Sir Walter Scott.  Scott's View of the Eildon Hills near Melrose, and the 16th century Smailholm Tower, near Kelso, are two examples.  Scott spent his childhood nearby.
