Fernie Castle Hotel is a privately
owned 14th century Castle situated near Cupar in the heart of the
Ancient "Kingdom of Fife".
Neil
and Mary Blackburn personally supervise the complete operation of
this 14th Century fairy tale Castle with it's Turrets, Private Loch
and Ancient Ice House set in the 17 acres of wooded ground.
The 450 year old castle can offer all the character of the past with
comforts today's visitor expects from a hotel with such high
recommendations and awards.
Our standards are the same whether
it's a pot of coffee by the open log fire to a full Banquet we here
at Fernie will give you the service you deserve.
The
aura of the castle is first glimpsed through the wooded drive as one
approaches. Once inside, you will be greeted with a cheery open fire
and a warm welcome. The Keep Bar and The Wallace Lounge are each
directly off the reception hall.
Later dinner may be enjoyed in the beautiful
Auld Alliance Room, with it's massive Georgian chandelier, fresh
flowers and candles, all reflected in a huge mirror.
For more informal dining, bar meals may be taken in the stone
vaulted Keep Bar dating from 1530.
The Wallace Lounge with it's turret snuggery is available for a
quiet drink or coffee after dinner. For quieter evenings, there is a
comfortable residents lounge on the first floor.
Our 20 bedrooms are all en-suite, equipped
to the highest standards, with all amenities as you would expect.
