Torrisdale
Castle, the seat of the Macalister Hall family, was built in 1815
and extended in the early 1900s.
Following careful and sympathetic
refurbishment the ground floor has been converted into 3
very comfortable self catering apartments.
In the grounds are 5 cottages, also for self
catering holidays, which sleep 2-10, and all provide a peaceful
relaxing holiday in glorious scenery.

THE CASTLE APARTMENTS
The 3 spacious apartments are all on the
ground floor of the castle. They all look out over the lawns
to beautiful sea views. All have large rooms with ample scope
for playing on wet days!! Heating is included in the rent, and
domestic electricity is charged by meter reading. Bed linen is
provided. All have bathrooms with bath and shower. There is plenty of room
in each flat for an extra folding bed. There is a laundry room at the
Castle for guests, with automatic washing machine and tumble drier
"Crossaig" has a spacious sitting/dining
room/kitchen, a double and a twin bed room. Sleeps 4.
"Tangy" has a sitting/dining
room with integral kitchen, a double bedroom and a large family room
with 3 beds. Sleeps 5.
"Killean" has a very large sitting/dining room
with adjoining kitchen, a double bedroom, and a large family room
with 4 singles. Sleeps 6

THE CASTLE COTTAGES
There are 5 individual cottages, all well
equipped with their own garden. All have open fires and logs are
provided without charge. Electricity is by £1 slot meter and heating
is charged by meter reading. Bed linen is provided. All have
bathrooms with bath but no shower.
All properties have colour TV.
Guests at South Lodge, Garden Cottage and Lephinbeag have use of the
laundry facilities at the Castle.
South
Lodge. This is situated at the drive gates of the estate and has
a superb view over the seas to the Isle of Arran, with a small sandy
beach across the road. Double bedroom and sitting room/dining room
with adjacent kitchen. Sleeps 2.

£150 to £250 per week. Short
breaks--minimum 3 nights.
Garden Cottage.
Peacefully situated amongst trees, about 10 minutes walk from the
beach. On the ground floor there is a large double bedroom,
bathroom and comfortable sitting room/dining room with a separate
kitchen. There is a twin bedded (2'6" beds) attic bedroom with
access by loft ladder, making it unsuitable for the elderly or the
very young--but much favoured by older children. Sleeps 4.

£200 to £320 per week.

Lephinbeag. A former
Gamekeeper's cottage in a secluded setting 10 minutes walk from the
sea. Double bedroom & a small bedroom for 2 with full sized bunk
beds. Sitting room/dining room with integral kitchen and separate
utility room. Sleeps 4.

Glen House. About 15
minutes walk from the sea. On the ground floor there is a double
bedroom, sitting room/ dining room/ kitchen, bathroom & separate
toilet. upstairs there are 2 bedrooms--a twin & a large family room
with 3 beds. There is a separate laundry room with automatic
washing machine and tumble drier. Sleeps 7.

Lephincorrach Farmhouse.
On a working sheep farm about 10 minutes walk from the sea.. Ideal
for large families or 2 families holidaying together. It has 5
bedrooms--a double, a further double with an additional single bed,
a single, and 2 twin bedded rooms upstairs. There is a large
kitchen, a sitting room, a dining room, a bathroom and a shower
room. The farmhouse has a washing machine and a tumble drier.
Sleeps 10.
