The Log House   AMBLESIDE

The Log House is a historic Norwegan log cabin in Ambleside, the heart of the English Lake District. Originally brought to the Lake District by Artist Alfred Heaton Cooper nearly 100 years ago as a home and studio. The Log House now serves as a restaurant and bar with three luxury bedrooms.

Welcome to the Blue Pig in Kirkby Lonsdale. This delightful bed and breakfast accommodation is situated in a newly renovated 17th Century cottage. Brownber Hall is a magnificent country house of entirely unique character built around 1860. The Hall offers excellent AA 4 star guest accommodation. It is the only accommodation in the area with a lift. Brownber Hall Country House is set amid beautiful rolling countryside, well away from the nearest main road and guests are assured of a warm welcome and a peaceful and relaxing stay. Brownber Hall is a quiet retreat. We are not licensed to sell alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own. We do not have a restaurant but will provide meals by arrangement. There are pub restaurants in the nearby village of Ravenstonedale.

 

Marton House,   LONG MARTON, APPLEBY-IN-WESTMORLAND

Marton House, situated in the delightful village of Long Marton just a 5 minute drive from the A66, is a family run luxury B&B in the heart of the Eden Valley close to the Lake District yet within easy access of all main routes. The house, designed by Ignatius Bonomi, sits within 6 acres of delightful gardens. The house has four en-suite bedrooms all enjoying outstanding views of the Lake District. Inspected by Cumbria Tourism AIAS awarded 'commended'.

 

Bankfield Country House Hotel,   MILLOM

Bankfield hotel stands in its own 5 acres of grounds in beautiful countryside. The hotel is fully licensed and has a fine reputation for good wholesome cooking using as far as possible local meat fish and game, both for Bar and Restaurant meals. We are open all day for morning coffees, lunch and afternoon teas. All bedrooms are en-suite. There is a comfortable lounge, bar, restaurant and large dining room.

 

Knoll Country House,   NEWBY BRIDGE, LAKE WINDERMERE

Knoll Country House is a late Victorian 5 star property, located in the picturesque location of Newby Bridge and set in its own grounds on the shore of Lake Windermere. The house has many original period features including a lovely ornate staircase with stained glass windows, fireplaces, cornices and picture rails. The hotel features in the “Which? Guide to Good B&B’s” and has also been included in the Michelin Guide for 2007. You can make the most of the free use of leisure facilities at Cascades, the White Water Hotel’s leisure club.

 
 

Muncaster Castle,   RAVENGLASS

Muncaster Castle, home to the Pennington family for 800 years, is a genuine treasure trove of art and antiques. Set in the Lake District National Park you will find the small village of Spark Bridge which is nestled in the Crake Valley. The guest's spacious but cosy drawing room makes a wonderful place to sit and read in the evening whilst enjoying a glass of fine wine or beer. The six large bedrooms are stylishly designed. All equipped with en-suite facilities, CD and DVD players, IPod docking stations and proper coffee and fresh milk. We have off-street parking although there is plenty of free parking on Park Road itself.

Childwall Abbey  LIVERPOOL
