A beautiful 17th century manor house, Eyam Hall has been the home of the Wright family for over 300 years.

Opened to the public in 1992, it retains the intimate atmosphere of a much loved private home.  Few houses offer such character and charm as Eyam Hall.  Under the watchful gaze of the Wright ancestors' portraits, you will find a beautiful stone flagged hall, a unique tapestry room, the bedroom with a magnificent tester bed.  Other rooms reveal costumes belonging to family members, precious artefacts and fascinating family mementos.  Observant visitors may even come across the ghostly apparition of Sarah Mills, a young servant girl, who drowned herself in the well and still answers the night bell!At the gates of Eyam Hall

The walled garden is nearing the end of a restoration project and visitors can delight in the knot garden, the avenue of espaliered apple trees and the rose walk.

Weddings Eyam Hall is an enchanting family home, full of warmth and character, making it the perfect venue for an intimate civil wedding (40 guests maximum). Here you are given the personal attention and choice to select exactly what you dream of for your wedding day. As well as the ceremony itself, we can offer a small wedding reception in our lovely gallery room or a much larger reception in our marquee area adjacent to the beautiful gardens. We can also offer the dining room for an intimate wedding breakfast for up to 16 people.

Marquee in the gardensThe hall, where the civil ceremony is held is a charming room, bathed in sunlight during the summer and made cosy by the flickering flames of a log fire in the winter. Family portraits adorn the walls and two rare 17th century bacon settles flank the fireplace. The Bechstein grand piano and a pianist are available if you would like music as part of the ceremony. You can get ready in our Tapestry Room and make your entrance down the Jacobean oak staircase. After the ceremony photographs can be taken using the historic garden as a stunning backdrop.

Wedding parties of up to 40 can be served in the gallery room, a romantic listed building complete with beams. Alternatively, for a larger party our garden croft can be booked for a marquee reception. This area has stunning views of the countryside and you and your guests will have use of the historic garden throughout.Knot Garden

Conferences and Meetings In the heart of the Peak District Eyam Hall is ideally situated for a small day conference or group meeting. Delegates cannot fail to be inspired by the beautiful surroundings in the Hall itself and the gardens.

The meeting rooms at Eyam Hall are the hall, which is suited to theatre style seating for up to 30 delegates, and the dining room and drawing room for smaller group meetings. All three rooms are on the ground floor and are easily accessible.

Lunch is served in the Gallery room, an attractive 17th century converted barn

Film Location The timeless beauty of Eyam Hall, its historic gardens and stunning countryside make it a natural choice for film and television producers looking for that perfect location.
