At
the point where the ancient counties of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire
converge, the historic Georgian House Hotel has been 'reborn' on the High
Street of the delightful town of Haslemere.
The
hotel dates back to the time of Queen Anne and takes its name from Sir
James Edward Oglethorpe, famed for founding the state of Georgia in 1733.
Careful attention has been given to preserve its unique atmosphere and
character yet still allowing it to offer modern comfort and convenience.
The Georgian House Hotel
has become the focal point or the local community. Set in its own grounds
and gardens, on the bustling High Street, The Georgian's restaurant,
Squires, provides a unique experience. Contemporary design within
parts of the original house's kitchen complements a varied menu selection
of traditional and international dishes. Whether for a quick cappuccino on
the terrace, a three course meal or light snack, Squires can provide it -
and more.
Tastefully
furnished and richly styled, The Georgianıs bedrooms offer remote control
t.v.ıs with satellite channels, direct dial telephones and separate modem
access, lending them to both business and leisure users. Benefiting from
total refurbishment in 2000, The Georgian has become synonymous with value
for money and achieving your expectations.
Four-poster bedrooms at The Georgian echo the romance of yesteryear
giving ample opportunity to celebrate or recapture (!) your own. We will
be delighted to arrange any little extras such as chocolate, flowers or
champagne.
Weddings.
The Savannah Suite and Augusta Room stream
with natural daylight and overlook our secluded gardens, dominated by a
large chestnut tree planted in 1792. Wedding couples can marry at the
hotel thanks to our Civil Ceremony Licence and follow with a sit
down reception for up to 120 guests in air conditioned comfort.

Our elegant facilities are available for
conference and banqueting use for up to 120 delegates. Peacefully located
