Oatfield House Farm is situated in an old 10-acre cider orchard a few hundred yards from the cliffs overlooking the Severn Estuary and the old Elizabethan port of Gatcombe. On the edge of the unspoilt Royal Forest of Dean, the largest remaining 'natural' forest and the idyllic lower Wye Valley, it offers the discerning visitor an ideal holiday venue whether for a few days relaxing break or a longer stay, while still within two hours of west London and half that from Birmingham and the Midlands.

The six award- winning cottages are converted from Grade II listed 17th and 18th century farm buildings and are designed to provide all the comfort and luxury you would hope for. Everything is included in the price, electricity, linen, towels, and a generous welcome basket.

The cottages are very comprehensively equipped to ETB 4/5 star standards. All bedrooms, except 2, are en-suite, three have jacuzzis (one's a double!), four have four posters, all have fully fitted kitchens with conventional and microwave ovens, fridge/freezers, food processors etc. TV's, radio and video players. Three have dishwashers and washer dryers, there is also shared laundry facility, four have pay phones, there is also a general one in our comprehensive tourism information office. Cots, highchairs and baby sitting (extra) are available on request.

In Blakeney, one mile away : village shop and Post Office.  In Lydney, three miles away: wide range of shops including two supermarkets. Award winning Pub/ Restaurant nearby.

Betony - Sleeps 7/8:
This unique cottage is a 16th century farmhouse retaining many original features. Entrance is through the original oak studded door with authentic inscription on one of the studs, "RIP 1649", the year Charles I was beheaded. Features include Conservatory/dining room and large sitting room with inglenook, enclosed stone spiral stairs (not suitable for the infirm). Vaulted and beamed master bedroom, large four-poster, en-suite bathroom. Second double bedroom. family bathroom with large jacuzzi. Second floor bedroom with three singles and en-suite bathroom.

Pimpernel  - Sleeps 4:
This converted barn is baronial in its size. The original roof timbers tower over 21 feet above your head in the large 35 foot living room which also contains a  giant log burning stove to keep you cosy. There is full central heating as well. Features include the large bathroom with giant double-sized jacuzzi and the master bedroom with king-sized Four Poster bed, plus luxury kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Meadowsweet  - Sleeps 4:
A
most attractive property with French windows which open onto the garden with private seating area overlooking the fields and woods beyond.  Features include a delightful lace-draped Four Poster bed in the main bedroom and long living room with beamed ceiling and sold fuel stove.

Celendine - Sleeps 4:
This apartment is reached by a short stone staircase which leads to the first-floor entrance hall. Features include lovely views from the first-floor living room with it's high beamed ceiling. Bedrooms are on ground-floor level.

Campion - Sleeps 4:
This sympathetically converted cowshed still retains an iron hay rack and other features from it's former life.  Features include a luxury open-plan kitchen, French windows leading onto a private patio and lawn area, and a beamed main bedroom with king-sized bed.

Harebell- Sleeps 2:
A very pleasant and cosy cottage for two, all on one level and wheelchair friendly.  Features include an open-plan kitchen, patio doors leading to rear garden and an attractive vaulted beamed bedroom with 4-poster bed.

Attractions nearby: The Cotswolds, Brecon Hills and Black Mountains, Gloucester with its Cathedral and its refurbished dock area with museums, shops etc. Quad biking, canoeing on the River Wye, rock climbing, horse riding, llama trekking, fishing and golf.
