Famed for the rolling moorland that covers much of the county, Devon is a great place for walkers. Dartmoor, to the south, is dotted with picture perfect villages whilst Exmoor, to the north, finds the coastline more rugged and the moorland more wild. The Two Moors Way, a 100-mile long footpath links both moors. The coast of North-West Devon offers some of the best locations for water sports anywhere in the UK. The region is also studded with stately homes, historic houses, castles and cathedrals.
