REGION |
DESCRIPTION |
|
Dublin, Wicklow and
the East |
Dublin ranks among
the top tourist destinations in Europe, yet this
vibrant city remains one of Europe's most
down-to-earth, friendly and accessible cities.
Although Dublin is right next door, the
spectacularly lovely County Wicklow is very much
its own place, an away-from-it-all world of
moorland and mountain, farmland and garden,
forest and lake, seashore and river. |
|
Wexford, Waterford
and South East Ireland |
Revive and stimulate
your senses in Ireland's warmest corner. Soak up
the rich, cultural atmosphere of the scenic
towns and villages, relax in one of the many
coastal destinations or enjoy a night on the
town in the vibrant cities of the South East.
|
|
Cork |
County Cork is the
largest of all the Irish counties and in many
ways the most varied. Rich farmlands and river
valleys contrast with the wild sandstone hills
of the west, and above all there is the
magnificent coastline hewn by the Atlantic into
great bays and secret coves, strewn with rocky
headlands and long soft golden sands. |
|
Kerry |
County Kerry is
renowned the world over for its beautiful
scenery, including Irelands highest mountain
Carrantuohill, the Lakes of Killarney,
beautiful sandy beaches, cliffs and rocky
headlands. No trip to Kerry is complete without
including the panoramic Ring of Kerry drive on
the Iveragh Peninsula. It stretches South West
from Killarney for 65km (40 miles) and takes
you through the towns of Kenmare, Sneem,
Waterville, Cahirciveen, Glenbeigh, and
Killorglin. |
|
West Coast and
Lakelands |
Visit Connemara and
the islands, see and hear the Irish language in
everyday use in the "Gaeltacht" region. Enjoy a
wide range of outdoor pursuits and sports,
indulge in retail therapy by shopping in some of
the many craft shops, dine out on local
specialities such as smoked salmon and local
cheeses. |
